Hi
I have created a mesh for a simple structure (before) but now i need to put it inside a wave channel (after). So, i need to convert what was external in the 1st structure in internal on the 2nd. (see picture). But, as a newbie, i'm a bit confused about the boundary conditions on the BlockMeshDict file. In the 2nd case (structure inside the wave channel) i have considered inlet, outlet, bottom and frontAndBack only from the wave channel (box) and the faces of the structure as being on contourFaces patch as walls. My doubts are: 1) Considering "inlet" the face where the wave is generated should i put in this patch also the faces of the structure that will interact with the wave? (some of the them i have considered as contourFaces). 2) The frontAndBack of the structure is inside of the wave channel so the frontAndBack pacth should only contain the frontAndBack from the wave channel? The same goes for the bottom patch. 3) Using paraFoam i saw that the atmosphere patch appeared "closed". I was expecting a box with the top open. (see paraview screenshots). Am i wrong? Can anyone, please, help me? Greetings Cristina Last edited by CrisMoreira; June 16, 2015 at 19:00. Reason: Solved |
