[snappyHexMesh] How to define the computational region with snappyHexMeshDict

\tutorials\incompressible\simpleFoam\turbineSiting

a surface(.STL file) cut the background region( a cube) to 2 parts. How to select one of the parts with setting parameters in snappyHexMeshDict?

As the same
\tutorials\multiphase\interPhaseChangeFoam\cavitat ingBullet

If I want to compute the interior region of the bullet (assuming the bullet is empty inside), how to set parameters in snappyHexMeshDict?

Hello,

The snappyHexMeshDict parameter locationInMesh defines which part is selected for meshing.

why the number of the refinement region is always 2? just by coincidence?

It is just a coincidence. You can have as many refinement regions as you want, or none.
