I am extracting surfaces from large openfoam solutions using isoSurface. I am doing this in post-processing with the "execFlowFunctionObjects -noFlow " command. I am surprised at the size of the files generated. I have tried most of the file types available. I have found that the .raw file is stored as ascii - not binary. How can I make it binary? I found that the openFoam format is reasonably compact. I have found that the vtk format is not compact. Are there any tricks for making small or binary files with the execFlowFunctionObjects command?
I am using OpenFoam 2.4.0 |
