I'm looking to put a fully submerged turbine in a box, and expose it to regular propagating wave-like conditions without having to resolve the free surface. Is there a way to do this in OpenFOAM (with or without waves2Foam)?
Regarding theory, how should this be done? Set BCs at equilibrium surface such that they resemble a traveling sinusoidal wave in the pressure field, or set the velocity BCs as well, all based on linear wave theory? Should I set inlet BCs instead? |
