Only water pass through with cyclic boundary

Hi

I would like to make a custom cyclic boundary with that only water pass through.
Actually I know how I should do. U times alpha should be set as cyclic boundary value instead of U.
I tried to use fan boundary by reference. but It seems that fan boundary couldn't set to vectorField U boundary.
I had no longer know what to do.
Please help me.

Hello,

Do u wanna simulate fully developed turbulence? U can try boundaryFoam. It uses average velocity with two cyclic boundaries. Quite simple and fast

Thank you for your helping.
But I couldn't understand your point.

I checked boundaryFoam's sorce code and those tutorials, but I couldn't find any description about customizing cyclic boundary.

I attached some cases that I want to achieve.

Here is a interFoam's simple model condition.

Following is result with usual cyclic boundary.

But I don't want let air pass through cyclic.(Here I changed cyclic BC to wall BC actually.)

Only water pass through cyclic boundary is my ideal.

have you found a solution for the boundary conditions? I need exactly the same. But iny my case i want the gas to pass through.

Hi

My problem has not be solved yet.

I am trying to customize fan boundary.

What I am doing is setting jump_ as -U*alpha, but jump_ seems scalarField and not being set vectorField.

I am modifying valiable's type of jump_ from scalarField to vectorField in JumpCyclic and fixedJump. Actually, it has not be working well yet.

I think your article is the almost same what I want to achive.
Actually, I have to consider also region outside of boundary. so, I have to use custome cyclic.
I am checking custome cyclic boundarys of OFv30+. I wonder if there are some custome cyclic dealing vectorField jump or something...
