Hi guys,
I'm trying to add some parallelisation to a solver I've developed. Unfortunately, domain decomposition isn't an option for my particular solver, specifically one which performs calculations along rays which I've traced. I'm keen to have the operations on rays which are pointing in the same direction run in parallel. I gather this lies within OpenMP's abilities. Hence, my question is whether it's possible to use OpenMP in an OpenFOAM solver in the first place? I am an absolute beginner when it comes to parallelisation so please excuse any stupidity! Cheers. |
