Hello
I'm working for to simulate automatic valve in reciprocating compressor. I've already done it with Ansys CFX. Now, I'd like to do the same thing with OpenFOAM. I've many doubts if better for me use OpenFOAM 2.3 or OpenFOAM Extend-3.0 because 1) the first has ACMI interface and non-overlapping interfaces can be defined as walls and the second has GGI interface and non-overlapping interface are automatically defined as slip walls ( so, for my application could be better using OpenFOAM 2.3) 2) but the extend-version has Attach-Detach for Dynamic mesh with topological changes and GPU support 3) I need to have conditional interfaces (open-closed), interfaces that will be one of ACMI or GGI interfaces, Can I do with OpenFOAM 2.3 or with extend-version ? 4) Remeshing without topological changes, How to do it? Mesquite? I think, but I'm not sure that if I solve the GGI problem ( I read the ErcoftacConicalDiffuser that use GGI and define the non-overlapping as wall with repatchPolyTopoChanger but I have not found tutorial for this function ) the extend version is better every advice is welcome Thanks and sorry at all for my English C.B. or H.C. is the best writer of all time. |
