Hi everyone.

I am not sure that I am asking in right forum but I really need your help.

I am running a case in openFoam but my computer CPU power is not sufficient enough and it needs one or two month to converge. this time is unusual.

someone offered me to use Ubuntu cluster to connect some computers to each other and run the case with using all of theirs CPU like a super computer. but he was not familiar with openFoam.

now I ask you to guide me that I can do this or not ? if it is possible please let me know how can I do that or at least give me a reference about that.

thanks for your attention.

Well Actually This is not such a simple task.
There are some threads here in this forum dealing with this issue:

And here is a blog post by Bruno:

You may have to setup openMPI.

Best.

Hi Mojtaba. thanks for your quick reply.

I think I asked my question before searching enough in the internet.

from yesterday I am studying about Ubuntu cluster and learned It is not as easy as I thought. first I must install an MPI program.

Is it important to use openMPI or I can use MPICH instead ?
