Hi guys, I'm trying to simulate the motion of a flat plate like tail behind a square/cube. I am assuming that icoDyMFoam would do the job, since the tail would be "hinged" to the end of the square and no deformation would be involved. My question is that how do I setup the motionU/pointmotionU boundary on the tail plate so that it would swing with the wake behind the square?
For the tail, my current 0/U has: internal_a { type movingWallVelocity; value uniform (0 0 0); } internal_b { type movingWallVelocity; value uniform (0 0 0); } and in 0/pointMotionU: internal_a { type fixedValue; value uniform (0 0 0); } internal_b { type fixedValue; value uniform (0 0 0); } and in dynamicMeshDict I have choose the velocityLaplacian solver. For now the program runs, but no motion was introduced. I'm wondering if there is anything I am missing in the setup. Thanks a lot |
