I'd like to use Q-Zeta turbulence model instead of k-epsilon.But I don't know how to do this.
Once I simply replaced "k" with "Q" and "Zeta" with "epsilon" in "fvshcemes" and set turbulence model to Q-Zeta in turbulenceproperties dictionary but it did not work. Generally if someone wants to change turbulence model, what steps are required. I appreciate any help in steps. Any suggestions please. |

Hi Mojtaba,
first you have to select the chosen turbulence model on the turbulencePropertiesDict in constant/turbulenceProperties file. Remember to also set the right values for the coefficients in the turbulenceModelCoeffsSubDict. For your model simply define dimensionedScalar Cmu,C1,C2,alphaZ and a switch anisotropic. Second you have to set up the proper fields needed by the model in the startTime directory (k and epsilon for kEpsilon, k and omega for kOmegaSST etc etc) with the proper boundary conditions. For the QZeta model you just need k and epsilon (have a look at the code in src/turbulenceModel/incompressible/QZeta). Hope this is clear, Regards Cosimo
