Looking for the detailed description of the VOF method used in interFoam

Dear OpenFoam users
Hi

I want to simulate a very simple dam break by the vof model. I have read the manual and was able to run it correctly.

BUT

I want to know its formulation, how it solves, B.C. and ...., i.e. the detail description of the VOF method. How cam I find it?

interFoam is a wide used solver

, there are around ten published papers which used this solver and represented the detailed information

The best description I know can be found in the thesis by Santiago:An Extended Mixture Model for the Simultaneous Treatment of Short and Long Scale Interfaces. Google the title and then you can download the PDF file
