Dear Foamers,

Now I look into OF source code about combustionModels and thermophysicalModels part, and I got confusion about the inheritance about the thermo type.

Combustion model can be divided into two classes based on compressibility (different methods to calculate density): psiCombustionModel and rhoCombustionModel. Furthermore, these two types can further divided into two classes based on WHAT (this is my question): rho(psi)ChemistryCombustion and rho(psi)ThermoCombustion.

Could anyone give me some hints? Thank you in advance!

PS: I found that different methods to calculate the reaction rates. Chemistry combustion is based on reaction(?) ( I can not fully understand the chemistryModel.C) while thermo combustion is based on mass fraction for different combustion models. ---this statement maybe not exactly. It's just my own opinions.

Hello wen,

If u can leave the rhoCombustionModel(for now I did not even open these files, but I think its should be similar with psiC...). Maybe this will give u a "hint".

This is not finished. So just a "hint", for now Im not sure its all rite. I will share with it when I finish it rightly. Also, if u r interested into it, maybe we can collaborate to finish some Chinese documents on reacting flow solvers.

Dear Dongyue,

Thank you for your hint!

Different methods are implemented to calculate the density rhoThermo and psiThermo. The differences between these two thermos can be found here.

PsiCombustionModel (calculate the thermo properties) cooperate with the psiChemistryModel (calculate the reaction properties. ODE, chemistry time etc.) to calculate the combustion. rho..Model is the same.
