hello foamers,

I have basically two questions:
1) I'm looking for an analytical or full reynolds stress model for incompressible flows without wall functions, means in low-Re formulation. Did anybody implement such a turbulence model or is working on? as far as I know there is no RSTM in low-Re formulation in the current release.

2) Does anyone know, if the energy equation can be solved separately from the momentum equation. Supposing you have a fully converged velocity field, would it be possible to solve the energy equation afterwards on top of the velocity field? I think it should be possible by excluding the momentum equation in the solver file. but I just wanted to know if anybody has already experience with that?

many thanks and regards,
\volker

Hi Volker,

I have implemented an algebraic stress model in low-reynolds formulation. Send me your e-mail adress and you will get it.

If buoyancy-effects or the velocity-temperature-fluctuations can be neglected and the viscosity, etc. can be set as constant, you can solve the NS-equations and afterwards the energy equation.

Regards Thomas

Dear Thomas,

I am also interested in the Low-Re formulation of RSTM. May I also get a copy of the code?

Best,
Heng
