reconstructPar error

hi,

i keep getting that error when trying to reconstruct (it say it's in file reconstructPar.C line 139.

anybody ever got it or know what i did wrong? and how to fix..

my command was: reconstructPar -time :10

for the first 10 steps...

This is doesn't exactly answer your question, but I use comma seperated values to do this and it seems to work. Don't put any spaces between times.

Hi,

if you want to reconstruct just time 10, than type reconstructPar -time 10
But, if you want first 10 time steps, than reconstructPar -time 0:10

that is exactly what i did and got the error about line 139...

i partitioned for 8 cpu's and the run "exploded" after 15 steps. is it possible that the reason not to be able to reconstruct is that it didn't finish running and crashed?...

I don't think this is the reason. Just got to the, for example, processor0 dir and check what is the last time step saved. You can also post the error massage here so, if the problem is serious, somebody else with more experience can answer. Did you try just reconstructPar without anything?
