All, Each time I save animation. it always pictures? How can I generate animation (like avi etc.) by paraview4.40?

Hello,

best way to do this is to 'merge' your pictures into a movie using a tool like ffmpeg (LGPL 2.1 license).

This link has a short tutorial on how to do that.

I think this is the "best" way, because you get to make all the decisions on quality vs compression during encoding. Also you get choose codecs etc. for compatibility.
