Number of interation?

I got a trouble with this number, in some experiments, when I put this number is small, it will be more exactly than bigger, for example sometimes only 50 -300, but my senior said it has to be about >1000, bigger is better, however with 1000, my results are often wrong. How can I know which one is good? In tutorial, only 300, but for simple model?

Once more thing, the error is only 1...E -1, but when I look at the temperature it is about >1000000, so what should I do, thanks all.Please help me
