Am sorry about the query in 2D. Overlapping makes sense as it has just the line element. Is that correct ? However, i experience similar overlapping issues in 3D as well. What would be the reason ?...

Also, i've observed that i couldn't get the option, " Show overlapped named selections......" when i right click the Mesh under the model tree. Am using ANSYS FLUENT 14.0
