Thanks Fabian. Your information was quite helpful and I looked into the source code of simpleFoam and understood where i was going wrong. Thanks again for help.

I did simulation using RAS (spalart-Alamarras) model in OpenFoam. Now I want to use LES (SpalartAllmarasIDDES). So under constant folder in turbulenceProperties I changed simulation type to LESModel...
