Example:

at point i=2
(p(i-1,j) - 2*p(i,j) + p(i+1,j))/dx/dx
becomes
(p(N-1,j) - 2*p(i,j) + p(i+1,j))/dx/dx

you have to change your matrix by means of the link in the periodicity, you cannot use Dirichlet BCs..
