I was just thinking you might have some small void spaces between the two mesh patches that form the interface. This could happen, for example, if the interface is a curved surface and the two zones...

What information do you get in...

What information do you get in "0.0038/cellToRegion"? Could the existence of regions not connected by any faces be caused by the interfaces not being everywhere coincident?
