If this is in ICEM then you can just edit the mesh by projecting the nodes onto the surface it is meant to be on. If this is in Workbench it is trickier as it seems to have a mind of its own...

It means there is an error in your mesh. One or more elements are not in the plane of all the other elements. Fire up your meshing package and try to find what that is. It could be a named selection...
