I think the laplacian vol weighted smoothing option you chose only applies to surface tension. Not sure on that, but I am sure it does not smooth the general VF field so it is not what you want.

Your mesh is too coarse, so the mesh resolution is affecting results. You need to refine your mesh until it does not affect your results. This is called a mesh sensitivity study.
