There is an option in the oper command to calculate curl. It only works on vertex data though, so to get the curl of the velocity vector:
getv all oper curl n 1 |

We know vorticity is curl of velocity vector. I want to know what is the effect of each component of velocity on vorticity. What does it mean by positive value of vorticity and negative value of vorticity ?
