I'm very new to this whole CFD thing. I'm an undergraduate researcher at my university, and have yet to take the class, but my work is now requiring me to learn it (on my own). The work we do deals with improving thermal transport properties of phase change materials (PCM). I have been asked to build a model of our test system in Star CCM+, and I'm getting stuck. I've managed to model our system where our PCM stays solid. But I can't seem to figure quite how to model the melting of it. In the physics models I see things with multiple phases, and I've messed with them trying to figure it out, but I'm afraid I've hit a bit of a wall on this one. Can anyone possibly help me out here?
Thanks, Alyssa |

Have you tried to apply approach from "VOF: Melting-Solidification" tutorial? - it might be helpful. If not - please describe your task more detailed :>

I have not. I haven't been able to fine a tutorial on that. Could you possibly send me a link to it by chance?
