Hi,
I want to install STAR-CD v4.08 on linux system which is CentOS 5.5(final), but after the installation, a problem occurred. When I was trying to use "starlaunch", the system showed that "STAR LAUNCH has not been initialized properly", but I don't know how to fix it. I executed the "setstar" but the result was the same. Also I don't what is a proper initialization should be, so please help me on this, very thanks. |

I know this doesn't exactly answer your question, but we never use starlaunch in LINUX. We run CENTOS 5.05 and always run from the command line. Run prostar using "prostar -enablestar -classic gl". This gives the classic layout of prostar (I think about the 3.26 version with each section in a seperate window). The -enablestar is based on the kind of license you use. Run star with "star -enablestar" then with the options you want. (If I am using more than 10 processors I use -decomp because it goes a little faster.)
By the way, I assume you know that in LINUX the command is "starlaunch &" TomK |
