killersanta is on a distinguished road
I have downloaded a sample umat file from soilmodels.info, attached. I do not know how to use it in Calculix. Could someone possibly tell me how?

I made the input file as such:

*MATERIAL, NAME=ABAQUSNLsoil
*USER MATERIAL
1.,1.,1.,..... Etcs (all 1s for inputs)

I thought writing ABAQUSNL would trigger the umat file but it does not. How do you use a umat file with your input file? Is there a good tutorial somewhere?

I have tried many different things, can't seem to get my input file to use their umat file.

If anyone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
