Default long pipe mesh

trinitron is on a distinguished road
I have a long pipe which has narrow cross section.
I need a mesh that must be narrow at cross section and long in pipe length.
actually I need a cube mesh which has tall length and short width.
pls help me.
software: ANSYS 12

If you are meshing in workbench, and the tube is indeed just a tube, then you can select a face at a short end and insert "mapped face meshing"

yes I work in workbench
thank you so much
I try mapped face meshing but the final mesh become like attached file(mesh.png). Not to "desired mesh".
Is there any way?

Increase the number of cells in radial direction. It's in the image i posted as well.

but there is a problem which is still exist.
the elements on cross section are triangular, but I need rectangular mesh.
I attach the picture which shows triangular mesh on cross section.
If you look again to "desired mesh" picture in previous posts, you will see rectangular mesh Not triangular.

Ah I see. Then just add a method, choose sweep and change "Free mesh type" to All Quad.

EDIT: Just occured to me that inflation of the boundary layer might be difficult if you want to keep it an hex mesh. For some reason its a hard thing for workbench meshing to do.. ICEM does this easily btw

The mesh has been created normally.

Couldnt quite let this go, since I knew you wouldn't be able to get a hex mesh with inflation layers using that method. A way that will work, and that isn't that complicated, is to split the cylinder in quarters in Design Modeler, then use a Multizone meshing method. The right click on the method and choose "Inflate this method". Choose the inner and outer wall on the four inflation items and you should be good to go. See http://i.imgur.com/qf2DB.png , or http://www12.zippyshare.com/v/74996362/file.html for the archived project (v14).

If anyone know a better way, other than ICEM, I would be interested in knowing.

I am having difficulties to successfully apply Multizone meshing with inflation to an object, which is half hollow cylinder and half hollow cone. I would appreciate if you share with me your archived examples.
