Hi everyone

I was trying to create a conic arc which passes through 3 points using the tool in Gambit with an exact value of eccentricity ( 0 to infinity, 1 is a parabola, greater than 1 for hyperbolas), however, the tool in Gambit does not allow me to enter the eccentric value. Instead, it asks for a number called shape parameter (0.01 to 0.99, 0.5 is a parabola, hyperbola is between 0.5 and 0.99). Is there a way for me to convert between the two quantities ?

Thanks
