Hello everyone,

when I try to create a virtual wirframe from edges to split a volume later on, Gambit freezes without displaying an error

the confusing part is, that I did the exact same operations on another location of the volume and there the face was created without any problems (see the commands below **cut RHS***).

Hope, someone can help me with this

Gambit freezes when you are trying to create the surface or when you are trying to split your volume with the surface?
Are calling the journal file or are working manually?

it freezes when I create the surface. But it worked when I changed the default setting GEOMETRY.FACE.VIRTUAL_SPLIT_METHOD to numeric 0. This way I the face was created and I could split the volume as planned. Then I saved he file and could open it again.

On the other hand, when I run the journal file in edit/run-mode, gambit freezes again at the "create face" - command like before. that confuses me, because I am able to open the file the usual way...

Then you have your solution. Sometimes Gambit also crashed without any reason, and you enjoy this when you didn't save before

okay, but not being able to work with the journal file probably is annoying. Everything seems fine, except when I want to start the journal file via ->Auto until a desired point past the "create-face" command, there gambit freezes... maybe I just have to live with it
