Hello..
is there a button in DesignModeler where i could indicate my inlet and outlet for a 2D pipe. I have drawn a rectangle with a surface which represents the 2D geometry and in the tree it only shows one part and there are no regions at all. I want to import in Ansys mesh and then to fluent where in the fluent i could run my simulation! Appreciate if anyone could help through this Thanks |

Rightclick to select an entity such as an edge, face or body and create a named selection (such as INLET) out of it.
Named selections can be created in the CAD, DM or ANSYS Meshing and will be persistent. I usually create them in the ANSYS Meshing tool because I prefer how that one works. Best regards, Simon |

I did make a short movie about this late last year, but never got it up to youtube... In the mean time, you can get it from here...
ftp://ftp.ansys.com/outgoing/simon/N...luentBocos.zip The movie deals with solids, for 2D, just go down a dimension. Solids become faces and faces become edges. Best regards, Simon ... moved to youtube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6Z2v8geroQ Last edited by PSYMN; January 13, 2011 at 16:02. Reason: Moved to Youtube |
