Cavitation Problems

I've been trying to run cavitation using the Rayleigh model in STAR v3.24 and haven't been able to make it run.
I run the model without cavitation until the residuals get reasonably low, then I enable cavitation. The pressure profile without cavitation looks exactly like I would expect. As soon as cavitation is enabled, the pressure profile becomes unrealistic and the residuals increase until the simulation stops running. I've tried many different timesteps etc. to no avail. Is there a bug with 3.24? Has anyone else encountered the same problem and found a solution? Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated!!! Chris |
