Interpolate inlet-profile

Hi,
I have an axisymmetric case in CFX 5 (periodic boundaries, symmetry wall at center and 3 element layers thick) in which I impose a velocity profile at an inlet slit between two Walls. When I plot the inlet velocity at the inlet plane, the inlet profile that I imposed looks 'smeared out'. The velocity (u,w) isn't even zero at the walls besides the inlet slit! When comparing the CFX5 results with results from CFX4 (same mesh), the velocity profiles differ slightly, which, to my opinion, is due to the different inlet profiles. Is this problem known to you? Is there a workaround? Regards, Cujo |
