Dear Pals,
which is the simple method in CFX to solve porous medium if i only know the pressure drop across the porous. can you explain how to calculate and solve? |

Without the porous media proprieties I think you could not simulate it.
But if you have Pressure vs velocity data, you can reproduce the Darcy experiment and estimate the media permeability. After that you have two options: 1. You set your domain as 'porous' and than define permeability and porosity values 2. Another option is the use of the 'fluid domain' option, but you have to define the permeability as source term. |
