Hi,
I am working with a FEA simulation engineer to simulate the deformation of a cooking griddle. The griddle is on top of the gas burner. I have finished CFD simulation which generates temperature data on the griddle surfaces. However, we don't know how to import these temperature data into Ansys-Mechanical as the thermal load. Someone has this experience please help me. Also, do we need to use the same cordinates for both CFD and FEA simulations? Thank you very much. |

i remember there is an option in cfx solver menu which can make you transfering the temperature to ansys mechanical. just have a try.

In ANSYS Workbench, search the WB help for "CFX Temperature" and look about 6 results down. That should help in the WB environment. Not sure about how to do this in 'Classic', though.
