Hi,

How do I put the boundary condition of the centreline?

For 2D axisymmetric the geometry is a wedge with the point at the axis. There is no boundary condition at the centreline.

thanks a lot ghorrocks for your reply...
but the geometry that i simulate is a pipe with 1m lenght and 0.01m diameter, and i mesh 2D a rectangular in XY plane with 1m lenght and 0.005m width with ANSYS MESH and i creat boundry name for top edge as wall and left edge as inlet and right edge as outlet. when i import mesh in cfx and revolve 5 deg, some new boundry as periodic1 and wall surface_body was created that periodic1 shows the high and low theta surface and wall surface_body shows the centerline and i define boundry condition for inlet, outlet, wall and symmetry for high and low theta surface,so when i want to define run,i have some error as "the wall surface_body is not set in boundry condition" do yo know the problem??? |

You have to generate the mesh as a 3D wedge to begin with. You started with a 2D rectangular region.
