Hi,

i try to simulate a flow thru a porous foil. The foil has a anisotropic porosity (a lot of cylindrical pipes). In Fig 1 can you see the fluid domain (yellow) and the foil (red) and another porous domain (blue). Figure 2 shows velocity vectors on the domain interface. In this case i've used the isotropic porosity. How can i define that the velocity vectors are perpendicular to the surface?

best regards
frank

You could define an anisotropic porosity which stops tangential flow but allows normal flow.

Yes, of course! It was my first idea, but i don't know how. I've a free form surface and i should define the streamline direction in x y and z. There is no possibility to set this normal to surface.

You could use 3 separate 3D interpolation functions, one for each component.
