Hi,

I have a brought a stent (complex geometry) into the design modeler, and around it have put a cylindrical enclosure, both bodies are frozen.

When I try to perform a boolean subtract (target body is the cylindrical enclosure and tool body is the stent) I get the following error:

Error: Boolean operation failed
Context: Geometry Engine, while generating Feature Boolean4

does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might get around this? maybe there is a way of simplifying the stents geometry within the design modeler?

any help would be greatly appreciated!!

thanks

Matt

if you have used enclosure tool in design modeler, there is no need of boolean operation. just suppress the engine body.you will be left only with fluid domain.

are you making use of enclosure tool from design modeler or your creating outer box in design modeler. if so try to freeze your body and then suppress the solid domain.
