Hi, thanks for taking the time to read this.
I am trying to simulate natural convection in a cylinder, where the cylinder is fluid filled with water at 5C, and the outer surface of the cylinder is at a constant temperature of 40C. I have read and watched countless tutorials, but all of them do not show how to set the initial temperature of a fluid body. I can set the wall temperature using boundary conditions, but how do I go about setting the 'starting' temperature of the water? I'm not sure if I am clear, and I do apologise in advance if this is a very basic question. It's just that I have been searching for a solution for the past week already, and I am getting a little frustrated! Thanks, Keith |

Patch your fluid zone with a single temperature value via Solution Initialisation > Patch...
