two layer model -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

kim Guest Posts: n/a	Hi, I am modeling turbulent pipe flow with RNG-ke and two layer zonal model. When observing residuals only turbulent k.e. appears, not t.k.e. dissipation. Is that because when using two layer zonal model, the one-equation turbulence model is switched on? I have thought that thid model is only used in the near wall region and two equation RNG-ke model is used in rest of the domain. Am I right ? Thanks for any response. Kim.
