hi every one could any one help me i generated a 2D HEXA MESH from ICEM CFD to FLUENT volume 6 and i write the mesh file and when reading it on fluent i have the following error 7747 nodes.

6710 quadrilateral cells, zone 13. Warning: Invalid cell type 4. Skipping. Warning: Invalid cell type 4. Skipping. Warning: Invalid cell type 5. Skipping.

373 mixed cells, zone 15.

239 quadrilateral cells, zone 16.

16 2D interior faces, zone 20.

39 2D interior faces, zone 21.

367 2D interior faces, zone 22.

236 2D interior faces, zone 23. Warning: Invalid face type 1. Skipping. Warning: Invalid face type 17. Skipping. Warning: Invalid face type 17. Skipping.

Building...

grid, Removing 19 unreferenced faces, zone 19. Removing 16 unreferenced faces, zone 20. Removing 39 unreferenced faces, zone 21. Error: FLUENT received fatal signal (ACCESS_VIOLATION) 1. Note exact events leading to error. 2. Save case/data under new name. 3. Exit program and restart to continue. 4. Report error to your distributor. Error Object: () could any one help me what does this mean? thanks so much

Hi

Most likely grid quality is bad. Check for bad faces; grid is 2-D, so all you have to check for is type of faces you have used and skewness of faces.
