Hi,
I am looking for the boundary conditions of the wall mounted cube case at Re= 40000. I read the famous articles but still I don't have any idea about the B.C. I will do the simulation first with realizable k-e and enhance wall treatment and later with RSM. I am using Fluent 13. I would really appreciate if someone can help me with the inlet velocity profile and turbulence parameters. Thanks a lot in advance, Best regards |

Dear Ares;
Incoming boundary conditions would completely depend on your incoming BL parameters such as thickness, turb. intensity dist. etc. Out-going conditions could be PRESSURE FAR fıeld if chosen sufficienly far enough. But incoming BL condition is extemly important, since depending on this BL you will going to have a HORSESHOE vortex on your upstream face of the cube. I would suggest you to check out these papers: Castro-1977, Martinuzzi & Tropea-1993, Hussein & Martinuzzi-1996, Seal-1997, Ozkol-2007 |
