Hi to all,

I would like to know, if anybody has an idea, which program is more powerfull and/or easier for writing own functions and gui's? I know Fluent's powerfull UDF, journaling and Scheme functionality and wonder, if starcd's fortran subroutines are as powerfull too!? Would be nice to read some thoughts! Fab

I'd be interested to know how user code works with CCM+, because the old 3.x FORTRAN user functions had access to all STAR-CD's common blocks, allowing all sorts of nasty coding.

I guess the real power of STAR-CD coding is the fact that you have access to and can change pretty much everything. STAR-CCM+ is quite different but you can access and fiddle about with a lot in field functions too.

It always amuses me when I hear the word "power" associated with a badly documented, ludicrously open system like STAR-CD's. Users have the "power" to completely wreck everything.

Hi, it sounds, that I could do anything with StarCD too... so there is probably no good reason to chose either one!?

Greetings! Fab
