poisson solver

i am trying to solve the incompressible flow. In which i need to solve the poisson equation. I need good reading material in respect of how to handle this numerically in two dimensions. I will be grateful if someone can give links to any websites or books that discuss the solution of poisson equation in detail. I want to solve it explicitly.

what is the difficulty during the solving of the possion equation. i do not think it is difficult.
which algorithm did you use to solve the incompressible flow.
