m a second year student.....
i havent ever worked with CFD. i want to plot stream functions and potential functions of basic flows like that around a cylinder or around an aerofoil....... and hence draw streamlines........... which software should i use to start with....??? and m open to better suggestions, to help me getting started with CFD...... |

You can use gnuplot, which is free. I've already used it to visualize streamlines, among many other things.
