I`m afraid that there`s no unambigiuos answer. Dependent on whether the man is "well hydrated", dehydrated, thirsty, on his mood etc., the blood viscosity value varies from water-like to grease-like... and in grease-like state, it might easily be nonnewtonian...

I mean for a healthy person under the normal body temperature.

Well, I insist on my claim, it ain` that easy to state any simple and correct number. It may vary significantly even among healthy persons, at least women blood viscosity differs from men blood one... But at 37ฐC I would spot it to be somewhere between 3 and 5 maybe 6 mPa.s. However, if I remember the name well, Dr. Klabunde..... check the web for him, I think he made quite a lot in this field

Thanks kindly.

I also found this article yesterday.

You are right that the blood is shear-thinning. Anyway, I just tried mu = 5.0 mPa.s and the results are in a good agreement with the available MRI data.

Thanks again.
