Hi,

I am trying to install OpenFOAM 2.3.x, on my Fedora 20 OS but it seems I cannot install the Paraview, Scotch and OpenFOAM packages using rpm. It says page does not exist, when I try to do that in the terminal. The link which I am following is as below.

http://www.openfoam.org/download/fedora.php

Even the link doesnt talk about the newer version of Fedora. The last update is for Fedora 19. So should I find a way to revert back to Fedora 19 or am I looking in the wrong direction.

I know I can also do it from the source itself but I am not very sure about my linux skills hence would like to take it a bit easy with the OS for which everything is spelt out.

Thanks,
Peetak

Greetings Peetak,

Fedora is currently not supported as RPM packages for OpenFOAM 2.3.0. That page is currently being kept only for possibly bring it back in the future. You can check this yourself, if you try to reach that page through the menu links, starting from the main website www.openfoam.org

Therefore, you'll have to install from source code. Instructions written by the community (well, in this case, by me ) are available here: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/In...dora#Fedora_20 (since 2nd of March 2014)

Best regards,
Bruno

Dear Bruno,

Thank you for your reply and thanks for the link. I am sure it will get the job done. If there are any issues still, I hope you will guide me with that.

Regards,
Peetak
