Hello everyone,
I have a problem because blockMesh creates wedge cells instead of hexahedron, you can see that on attached picture. The geometry consist of few blocks and each is splitted to four smaller blocks (so I could use mesh grading in direction to the wall). I have attached my blockMeshDict. The problem is with the last part of geometry - 4 last blocks - lines 133 to 136 in blockMeshDict. Before that part I have an elbow. When I create mesh with elbow I get what you can see on the attached picture. When I comment out elbow blocks in blockmeshDict I get normal hexahedron cells. I have no idea where the error is. Can anyone help? |

May it be a visualization problem of paraview? Have you checked your mesh with checkMesh utility?

CheckMesh says there are only hexahedra cells, so you are right. Thank you very much for your post.

Hi sweet_satan,
Could you tell us what version of Paraview you are using? Best Regards, Paulo |

I am using ParaView 4.1.0 64-bit. I have found that I made a mistake in that last part and corrected it, so it turns out it wasn't visualization error. I am attaching current blockMeshDict in case anyone is interested.
I still get 1 failed check with checkMesh, but now at least it looks beautiful . |
