Hi everybody,

as i can see in many threads in the forum (f.e. Average of Scalar of a cellset during the calculation for each time step), it is possible to evaluate a average of a value regionwise by using swak4foam with the simpleFunctionObjects to address a cellSource, cellSet etc. .

Other possibilities, like introducing a new field in createFields and including the evaluation (averaging) inside the solver can also work as i read in some threads.

So now my question is: Is it possible to calculate these regionwise averages by a postprocessing procedure?

I have just little openfoam-programming experience, so i could need a hint .

Best regards.

funkyDoCalc which is part of swak4Foam allows you to do similar calculations as the swak-functionObjects on data that is written to disk
