Hello everyone,

I'm trying to simulate a Toluene droplet rising in water. As a first approach I've simply chosen a static mesh hence using interFoam. The results seem to be in good agreement with experiments and other simulations found in the literature.

To reduce the size of the computational domain I tried to simulate the same system using the solver interDyMFoam. The velocity of the mesh was first chosen to be a constant (with reagard to time and space), i.e. independently of the droplet velocity.
As a consequence the resulting droplet velocity is significantly different from the solution obtained with interFoam and strongly dependent on the mesh velocity! I've tried to refine the mesh and/or the time step, but without any significant improvement.

I obtained the droplet velocity by calculating the centroid of the Toluene phase every time step.

Does anybody have experienced a similar problem and was able to fix it?
I would really appreciate any ideas and suggestions. Thank you in advance!
