Dear all,

I've recently moved to OpenFoam and tried to run the basic tutorials on our local cluster. It appears that everything was ok for the cavity case but when I tried the engineFoam case the following error appear:

I've decomposed my computing domain with decomposePar as I did for the cavity case. And engineFoam works fine on a node of the same cluster without parallelizing it. I've also tried the same procedure on my own bi-proc computer resulting in the same error.

Please feel free to ask any questions requested to clarify the problem.

Hope somebody will be able to help me.

Francesco.

I've tried the same process with dieselEngineFoam and it crashed again with the same errors.

Perhaps this will help.

It appears that the error with dieselFoam was not exactly the same but was in the definition of fu and ft in the initialization directory.

But the problem remains for engineFoam.

Sounds like you've found a bug. Can you please report it in OpenFOAM-bugs with your exact set-up?
